Opening Remarks
Welcome to the Celebrating Student Research Conference.
We are very pleased to be here today to celebrate the work that our students do at UMass Dartmouth. This event brings together our undergraduates in English & Communication, graduate students in the Professional Writing & Communication program. Our purpose is to celebrate your work as students; to see the breadth of our scholarship and writing; and to discuss our writing, particularly as works in progress.
To that end, we have organized 4 Panel Discussions and Poster Presentations:
- Roundtable Discussion. Each presenter gives a 5 minute overview of their work followed by questions and discussion
- Poster Presentation. Each presenter has prepared an infographic/poster of their work and a 2–3 minute presentation
And, we have cookies at 3:30 and pizza at 5 pm.
Congratulations! to those of you who are graduating.
